It is the tale of Rama, the prince of Ayodhya, at its core, who is shaped by duty, sacrifice and righteousness. The narration here is about Rama’s move from Ayodhya, then a banishment and what the challenges do to his life. With him is Sita, to whom Rama’s relationship is one of the emotional pillars of the epic. Lakshman is Rama’s loyal companion and Hanuman is among the most significant of Rama’s allies in the battle against the forces of Lanka.
Ravana, the strong king of Lanka, is standing on the other side. The movie’s portrayal is likely to showcase the majesty, brilliance and complexity that have long been attributed to their mythical figure, rather than just making him a bumping bad guy. In the end, the bigger fight is between Rama and Ravana and it is about the universal principles of drama, sacrifice, fidelity, bravery and victory of good over evil.
